General Situation The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam to the active low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea. The strong southwest monsoon still prevails across the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand.
In spite of less rain over the country, isolated heavy falls remains possiple over the western parts of the Central and East region. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash flood and water runoff. The strong winds rise the waves up to 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea, above 3 meters in thundershower areas and about 2 meters in the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, and small boats keep ashore throughout the period.
Tropical storm FRANCISCO covers southern Japan and South Korea while the depression locates over the upper portions of the Bay of Bengal. Travellers stay tuned for the weather updated.
