General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf.

Isolated heavy rains are forecast for the North, the Northeast, the Central and the South (west coast) regions. People in risk area including the lowland near the water flow should brace for the severe conditions that may cause flash flood and water runoff. The winds waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman and the upper Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution, keep off thundershowers, and small boats keep ashore.

Tropical depression category 2 over the upper part of the South China Sea due 200 km east of Hainan, China is moving west. It will move to Hainan, China today (2 September). Nakhon Si Thammarat, Pattalung and Songkhla.
