Weather Forecast During 2 – 4 Sep, the monsoon trough lies across the North, and the Northeast, including the strong southwest monsoon that prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Thundershowers remain over the whole country and isolated heavy to very heavy rain will be likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East, and the South (west coast). The strong wind and waves are likely 2 -3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, and above 3 meters high in thundershower areas. During 5 - 8 Sep, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf leading to less rain likely over the country. Isolated heavy rain is expected in the North, upper part of Northeast, the East, and the South (west coast). The moderate wind and waves are forecast about 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, and above 2 meters high in thundershower areas.

Tropical depression category 2 near Hainan Island, China is moving west. Mean while tropical storm category 3 (Lingling) over the Philippines Sea is expected moving to that it will upgrade into the tropical storm category 2 by this time the storm will affect the Northeast of Thailand leading to more possible heavy rains. During 2 – 4 Sep, people in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East, and the South (west coast) should beware of severe condition. All ships should proceed with caution and keep ashore in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf.
