General Situation The weak high pressure system covers the North, the Northeast and the South China Sea with rising temperature in upper Thailand and possible isolated light rain in the Central, the East, the North and the Northeast while the North and the Northeast also see morning fog. The weak northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf of Thailand and the South with isolated heavy rain over the South while the weakening wind-wave prevails across the lower Gulf. People in the south should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood and water runoff.
Another moderate high pressure from lower China is expected to reach upper Thailand from 24-28 October. Outbreaks of thundershowers will be likely before decreasing temperatures. The northeast monsoon across the Gulf will intensify with increasing rainfalls likely along southern provinces: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. Torrential rainfalls are also possible in some places of the South while the wind-waves in the Gulf will be moderate.
Category 5 Typhoon BUALOI around the Pacific is moving north closer to Japan. This storm does not affect Thailand, and stay tuned for the weather updated.
