General Situation The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and southern Thailand is strengthening. More rain is likely over the South with heavy rain in the lower South. People in the South should beware of severe conditions. The strong wind and waves are forecast for 2-3 meters in the lower Gulf, in thundershower areas with wave heights above 3 meters. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats over the lower Gulf keep ashore until 29 November 2019.
The rather strong high pressure extends to upper Vietnam and the South China Sea. Morning cool and fog are likely over upper Thailand. Flat area in the North and the Northeast: morning cool with minimum temperature 16-20 C and cold to very cold on mountaintops minimum temperature 6-14 C.
