General Situation Another strong high-pressure system covers the upper Thailand with a decrease in temperatures. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf with the rather strong waves.
The upper northeastern has decreasing temperatures by 4-6 C with cool and strong wind in the morning while fair and sunny sky is seen during the day. The plain of the North and Northeast has the minimum temperature ranging 10-19 C. The mountaintops are cold to very cold with minimum temperatures in range of 3-10 C. People should keep healthy due to the changeable weather.
Heavy rains are forecast in some of the lower South while the winds in the upper Gulf from Chumphon upward bring about the waves up about 2 meters high, in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani downward 2-3 meters, and in thundershowers more than 3 meters high. People along the eastern coastline of the South should beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats around the Gulf keep ashore. In the lower South, beware of heavy rain and accumulated rainfalls that may cause flash floods and water runoff.
