General Situation The strong high-pressure system covers the upper Thailand and South China Sea with a decrease in temperatures. The strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf with the strong waves.

The upper northeastern has decreasing temperatures by 1-3 C with cool to cold and strong wind in the morning while fair and sunny sky is seen during the day. The plain of the North and Northeast has the minimum temperature ranging 10-17 C. The mountaintops are cold to very cold with minimum temperatures in range of 5-10 C. People should keep healthy due to the changeable weather.

Heavy rains are forecast in some of the lower South while the wind wave in the upper Gulf from Chumphon northward 2-3 meters high, in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward 2-4 meters, and in thundershowers more than 4 meters high. People along the eastern coastline of the South should beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats around the Gulf keep ashore. In the lower South, beware of heavy rain and accumulated rainfalls that may cause flash floods and water runoff.

Eastern Part Cool and strong wind. Decreasing temperature by 1-3 C.

Minimum temperature 18-22 C. Maximum temperature 29-31 C.

Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters offshore.

Southern Part (East Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

Minimum temperature 23-24 C. Maximum temperature 28-30 C.

Chumphon northward: Northeasterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.

Surat Thani southward: Northeasterly winds 20-45 km/hr.

Wave height 2-4 meters and above 4 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranog. Phangnga,

Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 29-32 C.

Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters offshore.

Metropolitan Cool and strong wind. Decreasing temperature by 1-3 C.

Minimum temperature 18-21 C. Maximum temperature 29-31 C.

Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
