The weak high pressure area covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea throughout the period. On 20 Dec, the upper westerly trough is prevailing across the upper North. Decreasing in temperature by 2-4 C is likely in upper Thailand during 21 - 26 Dec. Morning fog with cool to cold weather remains in the North and the Northeast with the minimum temperature 12-21C while cold to very cold is on mountaintops minimum temperature 3-14 C. The weakening northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf and the South. Wind and waves over are 1- 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers area.
The active low pressure area covers the Pacific Ocean. It is forecast to develop and move to the South China Sea during 24-26 Dec 2019.
