During 24-26 Dec 2019, the westerly wind at high altitude moves through the upper part of the North and Northeast. Meanwhile, the weak high pressure area covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool to cold weather remains in the upper country with morning fog and isolated dense fog. Decreasing in temperature by 1-2 C is likely in the North and the Northeast with the minimum temperature 12-21C while cold to very cold with isolated frost on mountaintops with the minimum temperature 3-13 C. A slightly decreasing in temperature is forecast for the Central, the East and Bangkok and its vicinity. The easterly wind prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated thundershower. During 27-30 Dec 2019, the upper westerly trough is expected to moves through the upper part of the North and Northeast while another moderate high pressure from China will extend to upper Thialand. A decreasing temperature with strong wind will be likely over the upper country, decreasing in temperature by 2-4 C is likely in the North and the Northeast with the minimum temperature 10-18C while cold to very cold, isolated frost on mountaintops with the minimum temperature 1-11 C, decreasing in temperature by 1-3C is forecast for the Central, the East and Bangkok and its vicinity. The northeast monsoon will strengthen with more rain in the lower South. The moderate wind and waves from Nakhon Si Thammarat is likely about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower area.
The tropical storm “Phanfone” is forecast to move to the South China Sea during 25-28 Dec 2019. It is expected to dissipate over the middle South China Sea with no effect on Thailand.

During 24 - 26 Dec, people in upper Thailand should be careful of their health due to the changeable weather and beware of fog. During 27-30 Dec, all ships should proceed with cautions.
