During 3 – 5 Jan 2020, the moderate high pressure area covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea while the westerly trough moves to the North with thundershowers with gust over the areas. The minimum temperature is 14-20C in the North and the Northeast while cold to very cold on mountaintops, the minimum temperature 6-15 C. The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South cause wind waves 2-3 meters are likely in the lower Gulf of Thailand. During 6 – 9 Jan, the high pressure area covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea will weakening. Rise in temperature by 2-4C, morning fog is likely over upper Thailand while morning cool in the North and the Northeast. The northeast monsoon prevail over the Gulf and the South will weakening. The weak wind waves 1-2 meters are likely in the lower Gulf of Thailand.
