During 20-23 Jan, another moderate high pressure area from China extends to cover the Northeast and
the South China Sea while the westerly trough will covering the North. Cause isolated thundershowers and gusty wind in the North. The easterly wind over the lower South will be stronger leading to more rain. The wind wave 1- 2 meters are likely in the lower Gulf of Thailand. During 24-26 Jan, the high pressure will weaken with slight rising temperature in the Northeast. The southeasterly winds prevail over the East and the Central including Bangkok and its vincinity with isolated thundershowers. Meanwhile, the westerly trough will move to cover the Laos and Vietnam cause temperature will drop 1-3C in the North and mountaintops with isolated frost.
Warning
During 20 - 23 Jan, people in the upper North should be careful gusty wind. All ships in the lower Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution. During 24 – 26 Jan, people in the North should be careful of their health due to the changeable weather.
Northern Part During 20 - 21 Jan, isolated thundershower with gusty wind.

Cold to very cold on mountaintops, minimum temperature 4-14C. Southeasterly wind 10-20 km/hr.
During 22 - 26 Jan, Cool to cold and drop 1-3 C in temperature.

During 23 - 26 Jan 2020, isolated thundershowers mostly in the lower part.
From Nakhon Si Thammarat northward: Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height below 1 meter.
From Songkla southward: Easterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters.
