During 5-9 May, the heat low cell covers upper Thailand with hot to very hot are likely in the area. Meanwhile, the southerly and the southeasterly winds prevail over upper country with thundershowers in the upper country. During 10-11 May, the rather strong high pressure area from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea while hot to very hot over upper Thailnd. Thunderstorms with gusty wind and hails will be likely in the upper country.
The active low cell over Sumatra will intensify and is expected to move into the upper Bay of Bengal cause more rain in the South during 6 - 9 May. The wind and waves over the Andaman Sea will strengthen about 2 meters and thundershowers above 2 meters.
Warning
During 10-11 May, people in upper Thailand should keep off tree, unsecured building and billboards. Farmers should beware of crop damage. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers areas during 6 - 9 May.
