Weather Forecast During 19 - 21 May, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and upper Thailand. Isolated heavy rain is likely over Thailand. The moderates wind waves are likely in the Andaman Sea. From Phuket passing north, with the wave height about 2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers. During 22 - 25 May, the southwest monsoon will be weakening, which is causing less rain over Thailand while isolated heavy rain in the South. The wind waves in the Andaman Sea will be weakening.
Tropical cyclone “AMPHAN” over the upper Bay of Bengal. It is expected to make landfall over Bangladesh during 20-21 May.
Warning During 19 - 21 May, people in Thailand should beware of heavy rain and accumulated rain. All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution, and small boat should keep ashore until 21 May 2020.
