During 29 – 30 Jun 2020, the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and Thailand while the low-pressure cell covers Laos and upper Vietnam. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain remains over the country. During 1 – 5 July, the southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea and Thailand will strengthen while the monsoon trough will lie across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam. More rain with isolated heavy rain is forecast for the whole country. The wind waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will strengthen.
Warning
People in Thailand should beware of severe condition in this period that may cause flash flood. During 30 June – 5 July, all ships should proceed with caution and keep away from thundershowers areas.
