General Situation The monsoon though lies across the upper North into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam. The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain are likely in many areas of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the south. People in the risk areas should beware of severe conditions and stay tuned for the weather update.
The strong wind waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. The wave height in the Andaman Sea raise up to 2-4 meters, 2-3 meters in the Gulf of Thailand and above 4 meters high in thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution and keep ashore including keeping away from thundershower until 4 August 2020.
The category 5 (Typhoon “HAGUPIT”). It is forecast to make landfall over Zhejiang, China by today (4 August 2020).
The category 5, Typhoon “HAGUPIT” has no effect on Thailand. For the pressure cell at the south of Philippines, is expected to move toward the South China Sea.

Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, and Tak.
Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 28-33 C.
Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Northeastern Part Scattered thundershowers isolated heavy rain in Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima
and Buri Ram.
Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C.
Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Central Part Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani,
Suphan Buri, Chai Nat, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.
Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.
Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Chon Buri, Rayong,
Chanthaburi and Trat.
Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-35 C.
Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers areas.
Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phetchaburi, Prachua Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.
Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers areas.
Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi.
Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C.
Southwesterly winds 20-45 km/hr.
Wave height 2-4 meters and above 4 meters in thundershowers areas.
Metropolitan Scattered rains.
