General Situation The moderate southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand while the low-pressure cell over the upper Vietnam. Isolated heavy rains are likely over the North, the Central, the East and the South regions. People in these areas should beware of the severe conditions.
The moderate wind waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are likely about 2 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea, 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf of Thailand and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution.
The Category 3 (tropical storm) “MEKKHALA” overs the upper South China Sea develop to Category 4 (Severe tropical storm). Expected this storm will make landfall the east of China today(11 Aug, 2020) and dissipated over land. It does not affect Thailand.
