General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the upper portion of the North and the Northeast to the low cell over upper Vietnam while the southwest monsoon prevails over the upper Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rain is likely in the North, the Northeast and the East. People in the mention areas should beware of the severe conditions.
The category 2, tropical depression is moving west, expected to develop to the category 3, tropical storm before making landfall over Guangdong, China during 19-20 August.
