General Situation The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will intensify. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the East and the South. People in risk areas should beware of the severe conditions.
The category 3, tropical storm “NOUL” was centered over the middle south China Sea. From 18-20 September, this storm is expected to develop to the category 5, typhoon and make landfall over middle Vietnam then move into the Northeast and the North of Thailand. The southwest monsoon will intensify with more rain and some torrential rain in the Northeast, the North, the Central, the East and the South. The wind waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand will become stronger with the waves about 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. Small boats keep ashore.

in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.
