During 18 - 20 Sep, the category 3 tropical storm NOUL was due at Salawan, Laos. it will downgrade and move through the northern region into Myanmar. At the same time, the southwest monsoon that prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand, will intensify causing more rain over the country. Torrential rains with strong winds are possible. The strong wind and waves are in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, about 3-5 meters in the Andaman Sea and above 5 meters in thundershower areas, 2-4 meters in the Gulf of Thailand and above 5 meters in thundershower areas. After that, during 21 - 24 Sep, the southwest monsoon will weaken causing less rain over the Thailand.
Warning
During 18 – 20 Sep, people in risky areas of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East, and the South should beware of strong wind and heavy rains to very heavy rains, and accumulated rainfall. All ship should keep ashore throughout the period.
