General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the Central, the East and the lower Northeast to the active low-pressure cell in the middle South China Sea. Meanwhile, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Continuous rainfalls will be likely over the country. Isolated heavy rains are possible in the Northeast, the East and the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the South. People in risky areas of the Northeast, the East, the Central and the South should beware of severe conditions. The moderate wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely 2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
At 4.00 a.m. the category 2 tropical depression in the middle South China Sea was centered at latitude 11.0 degrees north, longitude 113.0 degrees east or about 470 kilometers east of Ho Chi Minh City, with sustained winds of 55 km/hr. The storm is moving west at a speed slowly. It is expected to move ashore in southern Vietnam by 7 October and move west to the Gulf of Thailand by 8 October. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain will be forecast for the lower Northeast, the East, the Central and the South from 7-9 October.

Eastern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains
in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
