General Situation The rather strong high-pressure system from China has extended to cover the Northeast of Thailand and South China Sea. It is expected cover to the upper Thailand and the South China Sea by today (16 December 2020). Cool to cold weather and decreasing temperatures by 1-3 C with strong wind and is likely over upper Thailand. Mountaintops remain cold to very cold. People in upper Thailand should be careful of their health due to variable weather.
The strong northeast monsoon covers the Gulf and the South cause more rain and some heavy downpour. People in the South should beware of heavy rain.

Northern Part Cool to cold and 1-2 C drop in temperature with morning fog and isolated thick patches.

Southern Part (East Coast) Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Surat Thani,

Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
