General Situation The rather strong high-pressure system from China has extended to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Decreasing temperatures by 1-2 C is forecast with cool to cold weather and strong winds likely over the area. Mountaintops remain cold to very cold. People should keep healthy due to variable weather.
The rather strong northeast monsoon covers the Gulf with thundershowers likely over the South. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain is forecast from Surat Thani southward. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood. The rather strong winds in the Gulf force waves up about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution.
