General Situation The strong high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand is weakening. This cause the area to rise in temperature with light fog in the morning but remains cool to cold weather. Mountaintops remain cold to very cold and frost in some place. People should keep healthy due to variable weather.
The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South. The wind and waves are likely in the Gulf about 2 meters, and above 3 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution.
The active low pressure over the lower South China Sea is expected to move to the Gulf of Thailand during 24-25 December 2020. More rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely in the Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong and Phangnga. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood.
