General Situation The active low-pressure cell over the lower South China Sea will move through the Gulf of Thailand and the South by today (24 December 2020) while the strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South. More rain and isolated heavy rains are likely in the South. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood.
The strong wind and waves are in the Gulf of Thailand and the South, 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Gulf proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats keep ashore lasting 26 December.
The high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand is weakening. This cause the area to rise 1-3C in temperature with fog in the morning but remains cool to cold weather in the North and the Northeast. Mountaintops remain cold to very cold and frost in some place. People should keep healthy due to variable weather.
