General Situation The weak high-pressure system overs upper Thailand and the South China Sea cause morning fog and dense fog in some areas. There also remains cool weather in the North and the Northeast while mountaintops remain cold to very cold. People over upper Thailand should proceed with caution due to poor visibility. The weak northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South cause less rain in the South.
During 30 Dec 2020 - 3 Jan 2021, the strong another high pressure from China will extend to cover upper Thailand. Cool to cold are likely over upper Thailand, 4-6C drop in temperature with strong wind. The northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South will strengthen caused more rain with isolated heavy rain in the South. The wind and waves over the Gulf of Thailand will be stronger, about 2 meters in the upper Gulf and 2-3 meters in the lower Gulf, above 3 meters in thundershowers.
