General Situation Another strong high-pressure system covers upper Vietnam and Lao. It will extend to upper Thailand from 30 December 2020 to 3 January 2021. Cool to cold weather and strong winds are still likely over upper Thailand with decreasing temperatures by 6-8 C. The stronger northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with more rain and isolated heavy rain in the South. The strong wind forces the waves up 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf of Thailand, 2-4 meters in the lower portion, more than 3 meters high in thundershowers.
