During 4-7 January, the moderate high pressure covers upper Thailand. Cool to cold are likely over upper Thailand with morning fog and dense fog in some areas, 3-5C rise in temperature. The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South while the low pressure will move to cover Malaysia cause isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the lower South. The strong wind and waves over the Gulf of Thailand, 2-3 meters in the lower Gulf above 3 meters in thundershower area. During 8-10 January, the high pressure extend its ridge cover upper Thailand. 2-4C drop in temperature.
Warning
People over upper Thailand should be careful of their health due to variable weather and beware the poor visibility. People in the South should beware of severe condition and who live in the south-east coast beware of the strong winds that blow toward the shore. All ships over the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and small boat in lower Gulf should keep ashore throughout of period.
