Thailand Daily Weather Forecast
Distribution On January 6, 2021
General Situation The weakening high-pressure system over upper Thailand and the South China Sea lead to fog with isolated thick patches. There remains cool to cold weather covering the North and the Northeast. All transports take precaution due to poor visibility.
The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South while the low-pressure cell covers the coast of Malaysia. There remain isolated heavy rains in the lower South. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood.
The moderate wind forces the waves about 2 meters high from Nakhon Si Thammarat passing south and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution.
From 8-11 January, another strong high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand, leading to cooler weather with strong winds. Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon across the Gulf of Thailand will strengthen with isolated heavy rains in the South. The waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf and more than 3 meters in thundershowers.
