During 5-6 February, the moderate high pressure which covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea is weakening. Cool to cold with morning fog are likely in the North and the Northeast while morning cool with fog are forecasted in the Central, the East, Bangkok and its vicinity. The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South causes about 2 meters waves in the lower Gulf, above 2 meters in thundershower areas. During 7-9 February, the westerly trough will move pass over the North, the upper Northeast and the Central while the southerly and the southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the Gulf and the South China Sea to the lower Northeast, the lower Central ,the East including Bangkok and its vicinity. Thunderstorms with gust and hailsare likely over the upper Thailand. After that on 10 - 11 February, cool to cold in the upper part of Thailand ,the temperature will decrase by 4-6 C in the North and the Northeast while 2-4 C drop in temperature is forecasted in the Central, the East including Bangkok Metropolis and its vicinity. The northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South will weaken together with the weak wind and waves in the lower Gulf.
Warning
During 7 - 9 February, people over upper Thailand should beware of thunderstorms wih gust and hail. Residents should keep off unsecured buildings and outdoor places. Farmers should prepare for crop damage. During 10 - 11 February, people over upper Thailand should be careful of their health due to variable weather.
