General Situation The southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will be weakening while the monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam. Less rain is likely over Thailand but still isolated heavy rains in the North. People should beware of the severe condition.
The stronger wind forces the waves up to 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea from Phuket northward and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand, the wind forces the waves about 2 meters high and in thundershowers more than 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore until 6 Aug.
Tropical storm ?LUPIT? over the coast of southern China is expected to move towards Taiwan from 6 and 7 August. This storm does not affect Thailand?s weather.
