During 15 - 16 Sep, the monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Northeast while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain are likely over the country. During 17 - 19 Sep, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will weaken. Less rain is likely over the country while isolated heavy rain in the North, the East and the South (west coast).
The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be weakening, 1-2 meters in the Andaman Sea and about 1 meter in the upper Gulf while about 2 meters in thundershowers throughout the period.
During 20 - 21 Sep, the active low cell over the east of the Philippines is forecast to intensify and move through the South China Sea to the coast of middle Vietnam. More rain with isolated heavy rain are likely in the lower Northeast, the East and the lower Central.
