During 17 - 19 Sep, the monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Northeast while the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will weaken. Less rain is likely over the country, isolated heavy rain in the North, the East and the South (west coast).
The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be weakening, 1-2 meters in the Andaman Sea and about 1 meter in the upper Gulf while about 2 meters in thundershowers throughout the period.
During 20 - 22 Sep, the active low cell over the east of the Philippines is forecast to intensify and move through the South China Sea to the coast of middle Vietnam. More rain with isolated heavy rain is likely in the lower North, the lower Northeast, the East and the Central.
