During 6 - 7 Oct, the monsoon trough lies across the lower Central, the East and the upper South. During 8-12 Oct, the monsoon trough will move up to lie across the lower North, the Central, the East and the lower Northeast. The strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand throughout the period. More rains are likely over Thailand and isolated heavy rain in the lower North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South as well as isolated very heavy rain are forecast for the South (west coast). The strong wind will rise the wave up to 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, and about 2 meters in the lower Gulf while above 3 meters in thundershower areas.
During 6 - 8 Oct, tropical depression over the South China Sea is expected to move near Hainan Island. During 9-11 Oct, this storm is forecast to make landfall over upper Vietnam.
Warning
People in the risk areas over Thailand should beware of heavy rain and its accumulation that may cause flash flood and over flows. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off from thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore.
