General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the Central and the lower Northeast. The strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rains are possible for the Northeast, the East and the South. People in risk areas should beware of the severe condition and its accumulation that may cause flash flood and over flows.
The stronger wind waves are likely in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. The waves are up to 2-3 meters high and the lower Gulf, about 2 meters high in the lower Gulf, and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore.
The tropical depression over the upper South China Sea is upgrade to tropical storm ?LIONROCK?. It is expected to make landfall over upper Vietnam during 10 -11 October.
