During 11 - 16 Oct, the monsoon trough will lie across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Northeast while the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. More rains are likely over the country with isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. The strong wind prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. The wind and waves are likely 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, and about 2 meters in the lower Gulf while above 3 meters in thundershower areas. After that, the high pressure from China will extend to the North and the Northeast with isolated rain over the areas. The monsoon trough will move down to lie across the lower Central, the upper South and the East , so thundershower will still occur in these areas . The southwest monsoon will weaken with less rain over the South (west coast) while the wind and wave over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will also weaken.
Severe Tropical storm ?KOMPASU? over the east of the Philippines is forecast to move to the South China Sea and move near Hainan, China during 12 - 13 October.
Warning
During 11 - 16 Oct, people in the risk areas over Thailand should beware of heavy rain and its accumulation that may cause flash flood and over flows. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off from thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore.
