General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the lower North, Central, the East and the lower Northeast regions into tropical storm KOMPASU over the upper South China Sea. Meanwhile, the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand, bringing about more rainfall in the country. Very heavy rains will be likely in some areas of the East while isolated heavy rains are forecast for the lower North, the lower Northeast, the Central and the South (west coast) regions. People in risk areas beware of the heavy rainfall and its accumulation that may cause overflows and flash floods.
The strong wind is likely in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand. The waves are 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, about 2 meters high in the lower Gulf and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, and small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand keep shore.
At 4.00 a.m. on 12 October, severe tropical storm KOMPASU over the upper South China Sea was due at latitude 19.1 degrees north and longitude 120.0 degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 100 km/hr, it was moving west about 25 km/hr through Hainan, China, and to make landfall over upper Vietnam on 13 and 14 October. It will decline to a tropical depression and an active low-pressure cell, respectively.

Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon.

Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains
in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
