During 15 - 16 Oct, the monsoon trough lies across the Central, the East and the lower Northeast while the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. More rains are likely over the country with isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. The strong wind prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. The wind and waves are likely 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, and about 2 meters in the lower Gulf while above 3 meters in thundershower areas. During 17 - 21 Oct, the high pressure from China will extend to the North and the Northeast and leads to the monsoon trough will move down to lie across the lower Central, the upper South and the East during 17-19 Oct. Less rains are forecast over the North and the Northeast while thundershowers with isolated heavy rain remain in the lower Central, the East and the upper Soth. The southwest monsoon will weaken and cause the wind and wave over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will also weaken.
Warning
During 15 - 16 Oct, people in the risk areas over Thailand should beware of heavy rain and its accumulation that may cause flash flood and over flows. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off from thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore.
