General Situation The weak high-pressure system covers upper Thailand, and the easterly and the northeasterly winds prevail across the upper country, the South of the country and the Gulf. Less rain will be likely over the upper country while thundershowers with isolated heavy rains are still forecast for the South.
At 4.00 a.m. on 27 October, the active low-pressure cell over the middle South China Sea was making landfall over lower Vietnam. By today (27 October), it will then cover Cambodia leading to increasing rain in upper Thailand from 27 to 29 October. Meanwhile, MALOU over the Pacific does not affect Thailand?s weather.
