Weather Forecast The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South. Meanwhile, the low-pressure cell over the lower South China Sea will move into the monsoon trough lie across over the lower South during 28 Nov ? 1 Dec. Thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the middle South and the lower South. The wind and waves over the Gulf and the Andaman Sea will strengthen with 2-3 meters high, above 3 meters high in thundershower areas and about 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high offshore.
During 26 - 30 Nov, the rather strong high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand. Cool to cold with strong wind are forecast over the Northeast, morning cool is forecast over the North, the Central and the East regions.
During 1 ? 2 Dec, another rather strong high-pressure system from China will extend to over upper Thailand. Cool to cold with strong wind are forecast in the upper country. 2-4 C drop in temperature is forecast in the Northeast, 1-3 C drop in temperature and isolated light rain are forecast in the North, the Central and the East regions.
Warning People in the upper country should take care their health due to the variable weather. People in the South should beware of the severe condition and its accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows. Residents along the Gulf?s shore should watch for inshore surge. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers area throughout the period.
