General Situation Another rather strong high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand. Cool to cold with strong wind, decrease by 1-3 C is likely in the North and the Northeast, decrease by 1-2 C in the Central and the East. Cold to very cold is forecast for mountaintops. The minimum temperature of the North mountaintops is in range of 5-13 C while the Northeast ranges by 8-14 C. People should keep healthy due to the variable weather.
The strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf and the South cause the rather strong wind and wave in the Gulf and the Andamand Sea, about 2 meters high in the Gulf and 1-2 meters high in the Andamand Sea. All ships in the lower Gulf should proceed with caution.
During 15-17 December 2021, the active low pressure cell covers the lower South China Sea, Borneo. It is expected move west to cover Malaysia and the lower South of Thailand bring isolated heavy rain in the lower South. People in the lower South should beware of heavy rains and its accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows.
