General Situation The rather strong high-pressure system from China has extended to upper Vietnam and Lao. It is expected to cover the Northeast and the South China Sea by today (1 April) and to cover upper Thailand by tomorrow (2 April). Meanwhile, hot weather occurs over upper Thailand. An outbreak of summer storms over the upper country are possible. First, it also comes with thunderstorms, strong winds and isolated hail including lightning strikes before a decrease in temperature and strong winds. The northwest winds prevail over the South and the Gulf of Thailand with thundershowers and isolated heavy rains.
In addition, the active low-pressure cell over the lower portion of Cambodia is likely to covers the South of Thailand by 2 and 3 April, forcing the easterly and northeasterly winds to go stronger prevailing across the Gulf of Thailand with more rain in the South. Heavy rains are also possible. The stronger wind forces the waves in the Gulf about 2 meters high and in thundershowers more than 2 meters high.

Southern Part (East Coast) Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan,
Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla.
