General Situation
The strong easterly and the southeasterly wind prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea while the active low-pressure cell covers the middle Bay of Bengal and the upper Andaman Sea. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the South. People in the South should beware of the severe condition and its accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows.
The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand is strengthen, about 2 meters in the Andaman Sea and above 2 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
The weak high-pressure system covers upper Thailand while the southeasterly winds prevail over the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East. Rising temperatures, hot with day haze and isolated rain are forecast over upper country.
The active low-pressure cell covers the middle Bay of Bengal and the upper Andaman Sea. It is expected intensifying into a cyclone and to move to the upper Bay of Bengal during 7 - 9 May.

Southern Part (East Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammara,
Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat.
Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C.
Surat Thani northward: Easterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershowers.
Nakhon Si Thammarat southward: Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi.

Metropolitan Cloudy with isolated light rains.
