General Situation
The rather strong southerly and southeasterly winds across Thailand lead to persistent rainfall and isolated heavy rains over the country while very heavy rains are forecast in some places of the South. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows.
In the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, the wind becomes weaker forcing the waves 1-2 meters high in the Andaman, about 1 meter high in the Gulf, and about 2 meters high in thundershowers. All shipsshould proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
In addition, severe cyclonic storm ?ASANI? over the coast of central India is moving west-northwest to make landfall over central India on 10 and 11 May. The storm does not directly affect Thailand but force the rather strong wind across the country and both seas.

Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.

Northeastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
in Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Kalasin, Yasothon,
Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram and Surin..
Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C.
Southeasterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central Part Fairly widespread thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Saraburi,
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi,
Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon.
Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C.
Southerly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi,
Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C.
Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore.
Southern Part (East Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla.
Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-32 C.
Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C.
Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershowers.
Metropolitan Fairly widespread thundershowers.
Minimum temperature 25-27 C.
Maximum temperature 34-36 C.
