General Situation The moderate southerly and southwesterly winds prevail across Thailand. There remains persistent rainfall and isolated heavy rains over the country. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows.
In the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, the wind becomes weaker forcing the waves 1-2 meters high in the Andaman, about 1 meter high in the Gulf, and about 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
In addition, severe cyclonic storm ?ASANI? over the coast of central India is moving northwest slowly to make landfall over central India on 11 and 12 May. It then will decline respectively, and the storm does not directly affect Thailand but force the moderate wind across the country and both seas.

Northern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in
Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Lamphun,
Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Tak and Sukhothai.
Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C.
Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Northeastern Part Scattered thundershowers mostly in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom,
Sakon Nakhon, Roi Et, Kalasin, Mukdahan and Nakhon Ratchasima.
Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.
Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central Part Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi,
Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon.
Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.
Southerly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao,
Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.
Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore.
Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat,
Phatthalung and Songkhla.
Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C.
Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern Part (West Coast) Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.
Phuket northward: Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershowers.
Krabi southward: Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters in thundershowers.
Metropolitan Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains.
