During 17 - 18 May, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Continuous rainfall and isolated heavy rain are forecast for the North, the Central, the East and the South (west coast). The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be likely about 1 meter high and above 1 meter in thundershowers. During 19 - 23 May, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen with more rain and isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East, the South (west coast). The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be stronger. The Andaman Sea, the wind rises the wave up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters in thundershowers while in the Gulf, 1-2 meters high and about 2 meters in thundershowers.
Warning
People should be aware of the heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rain that may be cause flash floods and overflows. All ships in the Gulf, and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
