The moderate southwest monsoon that prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening. The low pressure cell over the coast of Myanmar and the Gulf Martaban will strengthen and move pass Myanmar into the upper North and the upper Northeast during 20 - 23 May. The continuous rainfall with heavy rains are forecast in the Northeast and the South including isolated very heavy rains in the North, the Central and the East regions. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be stronger. The upper Andaman Sea, the wave up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters in thundershowers while in the upper Gulf and the lower Andaman Sea, 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Warning

People should be aware of the heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rain that may be cause flash floods and overflows. All ships in the upper Gulf, and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.

Northern Part Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rains throughout the period.

Isolated very heavy rains with strong winds during 20-22 May.

During 20 - 22 May, variable wind 10-25 Km/hr.

During 23 - 25 May, southwesterly wind 10-20 Km/hr.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 28-36 C.

Northeastern Part Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rains and strong winds throughout the period.

During 20 - 22 May, variable wind 10-25 Km/hr.

During 23 - 25 May, southwesterly wind 10-20 Km/hr.

Minimum temperature 21-26 C. Maximum temperature 27-34 C.

Central Part Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rains throughout the period and

isolated very heavy rains with strong winds during 21 - 23 May.

During 20 - 25 May, southwesterly wind 10-25 Km/hr.

Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C.

Eastern Part Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rains throughout the period and isolated very heavy rains with strong winds during 21 - 23 May.

During 20 - 25 May, southwesterly wind 15-35 Km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershowers.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.

Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers throughout the period and isolated heavy rains mostly

in the upper past during 20-25 May.

Surat Thani upward: southwesterly wind 15-35 Km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Nakhon Sri Thammarat downward: southwesterly wind 15-30 Km/hr.

Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters in thundershowers.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C.

Southern Part (West Coast) Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers throughout the period and isolated heavy rains mostly in the upper past.During 20 - 25 May,

Ranong upward: southwesterly wind 20-40 Km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.

Phangnga downward: southwesterly wind 15-35 Km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-35 C.

Metropolitan Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rains throughout the period.

During 19 - 20 May, southwesterly wind 10-20 Km/hr.

During 21 - 25 May, southwesterly wind 10-25 Km/hr.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-35 C.
