General Situation The weak monsoon trough lies across upper Laos and upper Vietnam into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. Meanwhile, the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is weakening. Isolated heavy rains will be likely in the Northeast and the East regions. People should beware of the severe condition.
During 27 - 31 May, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough lies across over Laos and upper Vietnam into the low-pressure cell over the Gulf of Tonkin. More rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the Northeast, the central, the East and the South. The strengthening wind and waves are 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea, above 3 meters high in thundershowers and about 2 meters high in the Gulf, above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
