During 16 - 19 Jun, the weak southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Meanwhile, the low-pressure cell cover upper Vietnam and Gulf of Tonkin. In addition, the southerly and the southeasterly winds prevail over the lower Northeast, the lower Central and the East regions. Less rain with thundershowers is likely in the whole country. During 20 - 22 Jun, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough lies across Myanmar and upper Laos into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. More rains are likely in the whole contry and isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South regions. The strengthening wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are 1-2 meters high and about 2 meters high in thundershowers.
