During 8 - 9 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across the North and the Northeast of Thailand into the active low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea while, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rains are likely in the whole country and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South regions. During 10 ? 14 Aug, the monsoon trough will lie across the upper North and the upper Northeast of Thailand into the low-pressure cell over the South China and the upper Vietnam. Meanwhile, the weakening southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Rains over the whole country will be decreased, however isolated heavy rains still present in the North, the Northeast and the East regions.
During 8 - 9 Aug, the wind waves in the upper Andaman Sea are 2 - 3 meters high, above 3 meters high in thundershowers and about 2 meters high offshore in the upper Gulf, above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 10 - 14 Aug, wind waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are about 2 meters high, above 2 meters high in thundershowers and 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and about 1 meter high in the lower Gulf.
During 8 - 9 Aug, the low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea is expected to intensify and will move to lower portion of China during 10 - 11 Aug.
Warning
During 8 - 12 Aug, people in Thailand should beware of severe condition that may cause flash flood and over flows. All ships in the Andaman sea and upper Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and keep off thundershower, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore until 9 August.
