Thailand Daily Weather Forecast

Distribution On August 9, 2022

General Situation

The active monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand into the tropical depression over the upper South China Sea. Meanwhile, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely in some places of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East, and the South (east coast) regions. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially in the foothills near the waterways and the lowland areas. The rather strong wind forces the waves up to 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. The upper Gulf has the waves about 2 meters high and thundershowers has the waves above 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore lasting 9 August.

The tropical depression over the upper South China Sea. It is expected to make landfall over the South of China during 10-11 August 2022.
